One Bail Question & Answer on “New York Bail Bonds

  1. My bail was set at $96,000. There is $95,000 on one charge and $1,000 on another. I was charged $6,000 which is not 6% of $96,000. Could there be some other logical reason for this overcharge, such as gas, office, or some other feel outside of what the premium would cover? This question is important to me because I am also being charged $300 monthly to be on an ankle monitoring program. As money is now extremely tight due to bail, I do not have money to throw away. Can you tell me if $6,000 is the accurate price for a $96,0000 bail in Suffolk County, New York?
