Free Bail Money - Bail Funds in Oklahoma - Help With Bond Money

Bail funds provide free bail money for individuals who otherwise would not have a way out of jail. Before approaching charitable bail funds, first go through the local jurisdiction to discuss lowering the set bail amount. A magistrate or judge can assess each individual case on the basis of low income in hope of lowering the bail amount.

After exhausting these options, the next step is to approach local charity bail funds to see if they can assist in providing a free bail bond. Nationwide bail funds exist if options are limited in your area.

3 Bail Questions & Answers on “Bartlesville Bail Bonds

  1. Does a person lose their court appointed attorney if they post bond? I have a family member who hasn’t posted bond because he’s been informed that he would lose his attorney. This doesn’t seem right.

    1. Hi Angie, it’s law that someone can post bail for you and still allow you to get a public defender. The attorney, whether court appointed or not, should make it their first priority to get the person out of jail. This means looking at all bail bond options around Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The attorney should also explore all options to lower the bail amount set and find the proper bail bond option for release. Using people you know to bail you out does not jeopardize your ability to use the court appointed defender, unless you are bailing yourself out or having your spouse put up financing to release you. In that case, the court may assume that you have sufficient funds to afford a lawyer in Oklahoma. Using a friend or family member to post the bail bond should keep you in the clear. The Bartlesville court should not consider assets of others to determine if you qualify for a court appointed attorney.

  2. I hired Misty’s to bail out a friend. She immediately went on a cruise and was out if town for court date, which he missed. Had to wait for her return. Upon her return, she went on a camping trip. Couldn’t get a response for days. When she did finally respond, she told me that I had to call and hire bounty Hunter, which is illegal, and that I needed to find him and call police. So my question is, what does SHE do? I live out of town and have a demanding job, therefore I don’t have the time to do her job for her. She would say she was going to call on certain days and never heard from her. I do not recommend her if you are expecting a professional. She only made things worse.
